Western Tibet, 14th Century
Seated in dhyanasana with hands in front of his chest in his characteristic mudra of holding his index finger, wearing a long dhoti with incised hems and jewelry inlaid with hardstones, the face in a serene expression with elongated eyes and parted lips, the hair piled into a high chignon and secured with a foliate tiara by billowing ribbons, the face with remains of cold gold
