A BURLWOOD FIVE-DRAWER ALTAR COFFER, LIANWUCHU
GUANGXU PERIOD (1875-1908)
The rectangular top with everted ends is set in a frame with two rows of drawers and is supported on rounded square legs with shaped spandrels. Each drawer is mounted with a swing handle escutcheon.
33 ½ in. (85 cm.) high, 47 in. (119 cm.) wide, 21 in. (53 ½ cm.) deep
Provenance
A distinguished private European collection, acquired between 1956-1959.
