Tibet, 13th/14th Century
Delicately carved and gilt on red ground, the central section incised with swirling foliated scrolls, surrounded by a beaded gilt rectangular perimeter, with further vegetal designs originating from the perimeter to the border of the cover, with gilded scrolls one one side and gilded semi-circles on the other
