A CASED 80-BORE TRANTER PATENT THIRD MODEL DOUBLE-TRIGGER SELF-COCKING PERCUSSION REVOLVER; AND A PERCUSSION POCKET PISTOL
The first No. 7901.T, circa 1860; the second, circa 1840
The first with blued 4½ in barrel engraved with scrolls at the rear, blued frame lightly engraved on both sides below the hammer, five-shot cylinder, bright patent rammer, bright patent double-trigger, chequered figured walnut butt, engraved trigger-guard, engraved butt-cap, and much of its original blued and bright finish, London proof marks: in original lined and fitted mahogany case with its full original complement of accessories; the second with turn-off barrel and scroll engraved box-lock action each retaining some original hardening colour (the hammer cracked), chequered butt, and blued folding trigger.
