A CASED PAIR OF 28-BORE PERCUSSION DUELLING PISTOLS

Converted from flintlock, with rebrowned swamped octagonal twist barrels signed on the top flat (one barrel-bolt lug defective), silver fore-sights, case-hardened patent breeches, engraved case-hardened tangs incorporating the back-sight, signed flat bevelled detented locks each with stepped tail and safety-catch, figured walnut full stocks, swelling flat-sided butts, engraved blued iron mounts including trigger-guards with acorn finial, set triggers, horn-tipped ramrods, and some original finish: in fitted mahogany case lined in plum velvet with some accessories including Hawksley powder-flask, and the lid with flush-fitting carrying handle, London proof marks
