A CHELSEA GILT-METAL-MOUNTED BONBONNIERE
CIRCA 1760
Modelled as a youth clipping the hairs along the back of a wild boar, wearing a black hat, yellow-lined flowered coat and turquoise breeches, a strap over one shoulder inscribed in iron-red BAUCOUP:DE:BRUIT:POUR:PEUT:DE:LAINE, with scattered sprays to the interior, the hinged mount set with an enamel cover painted with flowers and applied with a barley-twist thumbpiece (minor crack to enamel cover, very minor scattered scratches to brim of hat)
