Modelled as a shepherd and shepherdess seated embracing on a flowery knoll, he garlanding her hair with flowers, sheep at their feet about them and the inscription CETTE COURONNE EST LE GAGE DE MON AMOUR on a looped ribbon, painted with flower-sprays to the interior, with stamped gold mounts and hinged agate cover (chip to gallant's index finger, chipping to flowers and to loops of ribbon, mounts reglued, agate cover broken and restuck)
