seated on a lotus base before a flaming mandarla, wearing loose robes open at the chest and a tiara enclosing the Buddha Amitabha, flanked by acolytes on either side, gilding and pigment remaining, inscription to the reverse dated to the third year of Wanli (1575) -- 11in. (28 cm) high
