A Chinese cloisonne tripod dish
18th century
with gilt metal lion mask and loose ring handles and further gilt metal lion heads to the feet, decorated to the exterior with Buddhistic emblems and lotus sprays, the interior with bamboo and prunus on a turquosie ground -- 14 1/8in. (36cms) diam, (some losses to feet, light pitting); and a cloisonne dish decorated in coloured enamels with a central stylised dragon roundel within a border of characters on a scrolling foliate ground, the exterior similarly decorated -- 15in. (38cms) diam, 17th century, (pitting, some losses and minor restoration).
