The compressed globular body raised on three tall legs issuing from gilded monster masks, the body decorated overall with a design of scrolling, leafy tendrils framing and suspending lotus blossoms, bats and shou characters on a light blue ground, below a leiwen band encircling the shoulder, the pattern repeated on the neck, cover and legs, the curved handles with a keyfret pattern, the cover with three pierced gilt-bronze quatrefoil medaillons depicting bats and stylised shou characters, the gilt-metal finial cast as a dragon admist clouds, its head with curled whiskers and protruding horns emerging from the top of the clouds, minor restoration
