Comprising: seven panels of four loose polychrome ornamental beugelblad tiles (one with corner loss); ten polychrome ornamental border tiles (two tiles reduced); two polychrome rosette corner tiles (one repaired); thirty-five marbled tiles; sixty-five smaller marbled fragments; thirty-four white tiles or witjes; seventeen white fragments (the marbled and white tiles with various damages and losses) (191)
Provenance
Tiles retrieved by the present owner from a farm in IJsselstein, Noordijsseldijk 77, reputed to be formerly owned by the Dutch Royal family.
Special notice
Christie's charge a premium to the buyer on the final bid price of each lot sold at the following rates: 23.8% of the final bid price of each lot sold up to and including €150,000 and 14.28% of any amount in excess of €150,000. Buyers' premium is calculated on the basis of each lot individually.
