With swamped two-stage octagonal to round barrel struck at the breech with the Nuremberg mark and a maker's mark (similar to Neue Støckel 3503), plain flat lock struck with the maker's mark of Hans Stopler (Neue Støckel 1058) and with external wheel with narrow plain retaining-bracket, safety-catch and iron pan-cover with button-release, dark fruitwood full stock profusely inlaid with white staghorn plaques and ball-flower scrollwork all bordered by horn lines, a demon-mask engraved behind the barrel-tang, and faceted spherical pommel inlaid with further foliage and lines framing alternating flower- and monster-masks on the flats, later pommel-cap with bone roundel engraved with the arms of Saxony, iron trigger and trigger-guard, and later short iron belt-hook (some restoration throughout including parts of the lock and some inlay on the stock)
