rectangular narrow box, the cover, sides and base engine-turned with a basket-weave pattern and further chased with scrolling foliage and flowersprays, the cover centred with an oval cartouche engraved with the initials 'AC', the interior of the cover engraved 'Souvenir d'amitie et de reconnaissance', applied shell and foliate thumbpiece
