COMPARATIVE LITERATURE: E.J.Pyke, A BIOGRAPHICAL DICTIONARY OF WAX MODELLERS, Oxford, 1973, p.82 records Gosset as executing a wax of Townshend, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, 1725-1767. This could be the same bust as the one in the National Portrait gallery, London, No.1756.
