The case of typical form, the arched hood surmounted by carved vase-shaped finials, the arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring with matted centre, with subsidiary seconds ring, signature plaque signed A. Vermeulen, Amsterdam, and date aperture, the arch with silvered subsidiary ring for strike/not strike, the four-pillar brass twin-barrel movement with Dutch strike on a bell; two large weights, two small weights, winding key, door key and pendulum
