A Dutch Delft blue and white chinoiserie octagonal wigstand
Circa 1680, marked LC and AV for Lambertus Cleffius, De Paeuw factory
The bulbous upper part decorated with a continuous scene of Oriental figures at various pursuits in a garden, beneath a band of stylised lotus-leaf motifs, the top pierced with a small central aperture and decorated with two Oriental figures, on knopped stem painted with stylised foliage and lotus-leaf motifs and domed foot, some small areas of restoration
