Painted in dark-blue against a pale-blue ground with a bust-length portrait of King William III of England, wearing a crown and turned slightly to the right, with two parted tasselled drapes above and inscribed K·W·D · 3 below, within a piecrust rim (chipping and flaking to rim, some slight minor hairline cracks from rim)
