A DUTCH DELFT (DE GRIEKSE A) SLEEVE-VASE
CIRCA 1680, MANGANESE SVE MONOGRAM 6 FOR SAMUEL VAN EENHOORN
Of octagonal section, with tall straight sides terminating in a rounded shoulder and waisted octagonal neck, painted in underglaze blue and manganese with four Orientals in a fantastic landscape with rocks, shrubs, trees and distant buildings, the branches of a tree suspended above from a geometric border on the neck, the lower part with two double line borders enclosing a horizontal band of oval landscape vignettes divided by stylised foliage, a border of stylised clouds below (chip to side of neck at rim, slight chipping and flaking to rim, very slight flaking to footrim, areas of minute scratching to rocks)
