A Dutch engraved goblet
Circa 1750
The thistle-shaped bowl engraved with a hound in a cart pushed by a hare within a floral foliage cartouche, the reverse with the inscription SODOEDT MEN ZYN VYANDT GOEDT STAAN (So one makes his enemy stand well), with faceted lower part, an inverted baluster stem and folded conical foot
