The case of typical form, surmounted by three painted carved wood figural finials, the arched brass dial with cast spandrels, strike-silent to the arch, silvered arabic and roman chapter ring, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring, signature plaque, signed Roger Dunster above date apparture, brass five pillar movement with anchor escapement an hour strike on bell above, with door key, two brass weights and pendulum

Lot Essay

Roger Dunster worked in partnership with Christopher Clarke from 1722 until circa 1730, from this time Dunster is recorded working under his own name. Dunster died in 1747.
