A Dutch gold thimble
CIRCA 1815
The border chased with a foliate frieze enclosing a shield-shaped cartouche engraved with initials -- 1 in. (2.5 cm.) high; a two-colour gold thimble, the border with applied waved band, probably English, circa 1820 -- 7/8 in. (2.3 cm.); and a further gold thimble, engine-turned, with two cast floral bands, circa 1860 -- 1 in. (2.5 cm.) (3)
