Mid 17th Century
The shaped rectangular frame carved with scrolling foliage and various flower-heads, surmounted by two putti holding a shield centred by two crowned fish and surmounted by a dolphin finial, centred by a straw work picture heightened with watercolour, with monogram and dated to the lower right hand corner IC.1674, the reverse with a paper label inscribed and dated in ink Handwerk/van Mej. I. Cabeljauw/1674/(zie genealogie van Van Nispen), the dolphin finial later
