A Dutch oak and floral marquetry bombe fronted bureau, late 18th/early 19th century
With restoration, the top with oval panels of flowers and fall with similar cartouche-shaped flower sprays within foliate borders enclosing a fitted graduated interior with central cupboard, pigeon holes and drawers and a well with a slide, containing two pen drawers to the sides of the frieze and three long drawers below in the shaped apron between projecting canted angles, on ball and claw feet with baskets of flowers and ribbons to the sides, the fall inlaid with birds and butterflies, heightened in stained harewood
