Mark of Lucas van Giffen II, Groningen, 1783-1784, also struck with later Dutch duty mark of 1906-1953
Circular, on three wooden supports, three openwork scroll and rocaille feet terminating into an openwork lower band pierced with scrolling foliage and flowers, everted openwork border (repairs) pierced and engraved with scrolling foliage and flowers, wavy upper rim applied with scrolling foliate and flower band, with later wooden baluster handle, detachable copper liner, marked on body
