A famille rose and underglaze blue and white armorial serving dish
Qianlong
of oval form with shaped rim, painted and gilt to the centre with the arms of Gamon encircled by bamboo and flowers, the well and border in underglaze blue with cell pattern, butterflies and flowers -- 17 3/8in. (44cms) long; an armorial plate decorated to the centre with the arms of Elphinstone, bearing the motto 'Cause Causit' within a similar underglaze blue border -- 9½in. (24cms) diam; and a crested soup plate with shaped rim, bearing the creat of Price with initials 'JEP' suspended by a ribbon, within similar borders -- 9½in. (24cms) diam, (few minor chips).
