DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
The bowl is finely painted with four medallions containing sprays of peach, pomegranate, hollyhock, lychee and rose, interspersed with pairs of lotus sprays, all reserved on a ruby ground delicately incised with feathery, scrolling tendrils. The interior is painted in underglaze blue with a medallion of a basket containing peaches, peony and rose, beneath four floral sprays incorperating aster, pomegranate, and lingzhi in the cavetto.
