The bearded figure wearing layered robes, a court necklace and a Mandarin's hat with bead finial, holding a pipe tied with a pouch of double-gourd form in his left hand, seated on an elaborate throne molded with pairs of dragons pursuing a flaming pearl amidst clouds, the seat raised on lion-mask and paw supports, the whole on an octagonal base, all picked out in shades of green, yellow, aubergine and black, some damage--9 in. (23cm.) high
