A famille verte tapering jar, underglaze blue six character Kangxi mark and of the period painted with a pair of pheasants perched on rocks growing with peony, chrysanthemum and bamboo, smaller birds and butterflies nearby, borders of auspicious symbols, scrolling dragons and keyfret -- 8 5/8in. (21.9cm.) high.
