'MODEL 1892' SPECIAL ORDER LEVER-ACTION REPEATING SPORTING RIFLE BY WINCHESTER, NEW HAVEN, SERIAL NO. 640013 FOR 1911 With blued octagonal nitro sighted barrel, half-length tubular magazine, blued action fitted with a Lyman folding aperture sight on the upper-tang, hammer and under-lever each retaining some faded original case-hardened finish, 13in. (33cm.) pistolgrip stock with shotgun-style butt, chequered grip and fore-end, chequered horn butt-plate with Winchester monogram, horn pistolgrip-cap marked 'WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO.', blued iron sling-mounts, and much original finish throughout 24 1/4in.
