A fine Isfahan carpet, Central Persia The shaded brick-red field with delicate palmette and leafy vine around light blue shaped arabesque and palmette panels divided by similar ivory linked panels with blue arabesque centrepieces, in a shaded light blue border of polychrome palmettes and meandering arabesques together with floral sprays between ivory and indigo palmette vine and arabesque stripes, outer plain stripe, slight localised wear 352cm. x 266cm.(11ft.7in. x 8ft.9in.)
