The makers have kindly confirmed that the guns were ordered on the same day - 26th. April 1928 - and their specifications have altered very little since that time. The order specifies 'special and slight choke' with 29in. barrels for gun No. 7588 and 'modified and full choke' with 30in. barrels for gun No. 7593. It is clear from these specifications that the guns were to be used as a pair for pheasant and duck respectively
