Rectangular, the gold mounts with wavy borders enclosing glazed panels with six gouache miniature paintings, the cover and base paintings showing scenes of fierce combat by the seashore with battleships in the bay, each signed L de S, those on the sides showing peaceful coastal scenes, including a picnic by the shore, soldiers gambling and smoking pipes, a harbor view, and a rescue at sea, marked inside base and cover with pseudohallmarks for Paris, including the charge mark for Henri Clavel, the bezel stamped 3018
