Each decorated in enamels of rich tone with a continuous scene depicting a cockerel crowing atop a rock beneath which a hen nestles with one chick while another chick approaches from the side, with two further golden cockerels challenging each other and a white cock fussing at a bird in flight above, all surrounded by peony, rose, aster and peony blossoms, with decorative borders above and below and detached sprigs of morning glory on the neck, each domed cover decorated en suite and surmounted by a lotus bud finial, cracks and some restoration--24 in. (61cm.) high, Louis XVI style gilt-wood and marble torchere style pedestal bases, each pedestal 47 1/2 in. (120.6 cm.) high (2)
