Signed Sadashige saku, Edo Period (18th century)
Decorated in iroe-hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, hirame and nashiji on a black ground with peacock feathers and a branch of coral in a vase on a scholars table beside writing implements and books, the reverse with a screen decorated in togidashi-e, attached lacquer manju netsuke inlaid in mother-of-pearl and ivory
