The upper section of serpentine outline, centred by a clock, with a circular white enamel dial, the twin-train movement striking on a bell, above a recess flanked to each side by a double drawer, the back decorated with a shaped ormolu panel centred by a cartouche within foliage, the lower section with shaped top inset with a shaped gilt-tooled green leather writing surface, above a central drawer, flanked to each side by a further drawer, on four square tapering cabriole legs, each headed by a foliate clasp, on conforming sabots
