Surmounted by an oval urn, with a waisted neck and egg-and-dart rim, the body with a pair of scroll-cast handles, on a fluted socle, with a square stepped foot with presentation inscription OFFERT PAR S.E. LE MINISTRE DE LA/MARINE ET DES COLONIES/AU COMMODORE J. H. COCKBURN/POUR SERVICE RENDU A LA MARINE IMPERIALE/18 MAI 1865, the base of rectangular stepped shape, inset with a circular enamel dial inscribed Labergria à Calais, the twin-train movement striking on a gong
