For a nearly identical example see, Christie's, New York, 20 & 21 January 2004, lot 844.

Also see Leslie Bockol, Victorian Majolica, Atlen, PA, 1996, p. 112-113 for two similarly conceived unmarked models, one Courtesy of Marilyn Karmason, the other Courtesy of John Tribble, Atlanta. Although technique and styling differ on these examples, it is likely that they were based on the same prototype as the present fish as their overall design is so similar.
