Boin-Taburet, the orfvrerie founded in Paris in 1873, was awarded a Gold Medal at the Paris exhibition of 1889 for a table centerpiece in the rococo style after a design by Juste-Aurele Meissonnier (1695-1750).
A comparable sutout by Boin-Taburet, exhibited at the 1900 Exposition Universelle, sold Bayeux, 26 March 1989, is illustrated in the 1989 Drouot Yearbook.
