A French silver-mounted cut-glass travelling dressing-table service
Maker's mark of Louis Aucoc Ain, Paris, circa 1880
Comprising three various oblong boxes with pierced covers, four various cylindrical boxes, a travelling inkpot, an oblong box with screw mechanism, three various silver-mounted cut-glass flasks and a beaker, the silver engine-turned and covers engraved with the cypher BE with coronet above within oval cartouche, all in a fitted wooden case with brass mounts and inlaid with brass ribbon ornament on the angles, the cover inlaid with brass BE cypher with coronet above fully marked and stamped AUCOC AINE, the box engraved L Aucoc ain Paris
