This bagpiper is from a series of court musicians modelled by Bossierer Georg Bartolome and derived from Frankenthal prototypes by Karl Gottlieb Lück. See the seven figures of musicians from the Meinertzhagen Collection sold in these Rooms on 3 March 1986, lots 33-38.
