A George I walnut longcase clock, circa 1725
The hood with stepped top (part replaced) and with fretwork panels (later) above the breakarch, glazed side panels, with brass-capped pilasters, the trunk door with moulded frame and breakarch top, on stepped plinth (shortened), the 12in. brass dial with mask and foliate spandrels to the silvered chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers, matted centre with subsidiary silvered seconds ring and date aperture, with silvered oval panel signed J.Tiger from M: Windmills LONDON, cut steel hands, the five pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; possibly associated -- 89in. (228cm.) high
