The arched padded back, outscrolled arms and squab cushion covered in green silvered striped material, on cabriole legs headed by acanthus, on pad feet with later brass castors, the front rail replaced and inscribed 'Lumley', several ears replaced, restorations

Bought from Phillips of Hitchin, 19 May 1952 by Rafe Cavenagh-Mainwaring, Esq. and sold by his Executors, in these Rooms, 26 September 1996, lot 115 (£4,600) when bought by the present owner.
