MARK OF AYME VIDEAU, LONDON, 1739
Tapering cylindrical on stepped foot, the rim and lower body each chased with foliage scrolls on a matted ground, the hinged cover with a baluster finial, with a later ivory handle, engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked near handle and inside cover
8½ in. (21.6 cm.) high
gross weight 26 oz. (794 gr.)
The arms are those of Turner or Turnour.
