A George III baluster lidded tankard on a spreading circular foot and with a double scroll handle with scroll terminal and openwork shell and scroll thumb piece, later-applied with a satyr's mask spout and bunch of grapes finial, the body later-chased with tavern scenes and with a vacant rococo C-scroll cartouche, the cover later-chased with foliage, Charles Whipham, London 1777, the spout and finial bearing later hallmarks - 9½in. overall, 32.25oz.
