A GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND CREAM AND BLUE-PAINTED WOOD AND COMPOSITION SIDE TABLE
Late 18th first half 19th Century and altered in the 19th Century with the addition of a frieze drawer
The breakfronted rectangular mahogany top crossbanded overall in satinwood, above a panelled frieze decorated in relief with composition groups of wheatsheaves and flowers interspersed with oval floral paterae, the later drawer centred by a breakfront tablet of music-making putti in a Bacchanalian procession, on reed-collared turned, tapering reeded legs and tapering feet, losses, redecorated, inscribed in chalk to underside of mahogany top '86331', reduced in depth
