Lot Essay

Pusey House, Berkshire, was built for John Allen Pusey in 1746-48. It was the home of the Pusey and Bouverie-Pusey families until 1935. The famous Pusey Horn, now in the Victoria and Albert Museum, was sold by Captain E.Bouverie-Pusey, Sotheby's London, 30 May 1935, lot 168.
