The rectangular case with arched glazed blind fret-carved door surmounted by a pagoda top and bail handle, the silvered dial with Roman and Arabic chapters enclosing a date aperture and signed in the arch Geo Payne/Ludlow, the single train movement with knife edge escapement, with inventory numbers 6856-669x, originally with a bracket, handle replaced
20½ in. (52 cm.) high, 11 in. (28 cm.) wide, 6¾ in. (17 cm.) deep
