A George III painted tavern clock, circa 1780
The circular dial now painted with an equestrian fox-hunting scene, brass hands, the trunk door later painted with fruit, angled underside, the movement with tapering plates joined by four pillars (lower pillars threaded, movement secured to seatboard with hooks), with four wheel train and anchor escapement; movement possibly associated to case -- 60in. (153cm.) high
