Oval, on four ball feet, elaborately pierced, the center reserve finely engraved with a Viscount's armorials, marked on reverse
17¾ in. (45 cm.) long; 46 oz. 10 dwt. (1450 gr.)
The arms are those of Lowther, as borne by William, Viscount and Baron Lowther (1757-1844), created 2nd Earl of Lonsdale in 1807. See lot 137 for more information on the silver of the Earl of Lonsdale.
