Attributable to Gillows
The rectangular caned back and seat with padded squab cushions covered in fawn and polychrome pattern material, the arms with spirally carved flower heads above leafwrapped supports, the panel front rail between leafwrapped uprights on reeded and gadrooned tapered legs and compressed bun feet, with counter-sunk anti-friction brass castors, one later crosspiece previously with two further crosspieces, the back rail stamped WT

Provenance
Probably supplied to Morton John Davison Esq (1778-1841) for Beamish Park, Co. Durham and by indirect descent with the house to Robert Duncombe Shafto, Esq, of Beamish Park and subsequently of Bavington Hall.
